Marina is founder and owner of the Back to La Tierra natural retreat in Mijas, Malaga, Spain. Wellbeing and social change is a life long fascination and her book Kunt u mij de weg naar eudaimonia vertellen? (in Dutch) is a collection of her observations and contemplations to help understand what constitutes soul-ful living.
Over the last two decades she has learned, as a mother, homemaker, business owner and truth seeker that a regular yoga practice helps to keep things in perspective. During these extreme times of collective change and awakening a spiritual awareness is needed to continue to understand one's personal role in the bigger picture of interconnectedness.
She shares her Back to La Tierra practice with guests coming to stay for a few days or those choosing to spend a (solo) retreat. The practice is physical and spiritual and is a way to develop an inner knowing whilst feeling grounded and connected to oneself and the earth and all living beings. Stretching, breathing, meditation and mindfulness are all woven together into a graceful and warming, yet strengthening session.
She shares her life and dreams with her artist partner Paul. They have two young adult children, Tessa and Sebastian, who have recently left the nest and are discovering the world and themselves.
Born (1967) in the Netherlands, she grew up trilingual and spent most of her life in Spain. This is a linkto read more on her 'official' yoga training but does not include all the personal experiences, insights, online workshops and books she has devoured over the years.
